The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

The phrase “it’s the most wonderful time of the year” is usually associated with Christmas. In 1963 pop singer Andy Williams recorded the song for a Christmas album and the song is a description of activities associated with the holiday season. It is very popular and has a catchy tune but if all Jesus did was come to earth by way of a virgin’s womb that really does not help mankind with our biggest issue (sin). The world has no problem believing Jesus came to Earth and lived. Nor does the world have a problem believing Jesus died on a cross. But the world does not believe Jesus rose from the dead. Believers should never forget how important the resurrection of Jesus Christ is. More than anything that proves He was the perfect, sinless Son of God. That is why Resurrection Morning is truly the most wonderful time of the year! See you at church Sunday! I’ll be preaching on “The Baptist Who Missed Easter”.

“And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:5-7‬ ‭
